Having to start somewhere

Seems strange to be beginning, when often it seems like the end. What you will find here: random thoughts about diverse topics. Angry political rants. Dismissive caricatures of those I think deserve to be dismissed. Comments on culture, the arts, the news, the weather, whatever. I will link to other things I stumble upon that I think others might enjoy -- or by which they might be enraged. I will also slip in news about the arts at the University of Iowa. I also take requests. And I DO promise to occasionally mutter and frequently be uncouth.
